McGarvey Development Company earned two Summit Awards for Best Design Build Project at the third annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards banquet. The BIA recognized McGarvey Development for its outstanding work on the Mid Cape Corporate Center and FGCU Sports Facility.

The Mid Cape Corporate Center is a three-story, 68,655-square foot Class A office building, conveniently located in the center of Cape Coral with frontage on Pine Island Road.  

The 19,920-square-foot FGCU Sports Facility includes locker rooms, a treatment room, concession stand and second floor office space. There is also a multi-purpose conference room with a catering kitchen, featuring glass walls and a view of nearby ball fields.

The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.

A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged each entrant on ethical behavior, customer relations, management capabilities and community involvement. In addition, the judges evaluated the projects for originality, quality of design and marketing message.
