John Berry, vice president of field
operations with McGarvey Development Company, has earned Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building
Council (USGBC). LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for eco-friendly
building practices.
Berry has worked for McGarvey Development
Company for more than 23 years, overseeing the construction of office, flex,
tilt-wall and retail buildings. In addition, he also has experience in
residential construction, providing hands-on experience in building custom
homes. Berry also has an
ACI-certification in Tilt-Up construction, and holds a Fl. certified general
contractor license.
McGarvey Development recently
registered one of its projects for LEED for schools, with a silver certification
goal, and the firm intends to design future projects to meet green standards and
achieve LEED certification.
